CSL Esports has signed a partnership deal with PrizePicks. Together they partner with the*gameHERs in the hopes of making The PrizePicks AWPTOBER Classic competition more inclusive.

In their partnership with the*gameHERs, CSL Esports and PrizePicks seek to make The PrizePicks AWPTOBER Classic collegiate esports competition more inclusive for all.

Following collegiate esports operator CSL Esports’s recent announcement of fantasy sports operator PrizePicks becoming its official DFS partner, PrizePicks and CSL Esports are hosting the AWPTOBER Classic tournament. This CSGO tournament will hold the Stage One: Regional Qualifier competition events on October 23 and October 24, 2021 and the Stage Two: Playoffs events on October 30th, and October 31, 2021, featuring hundreds of players from all over North America. The competition will award winners from a $25,000 prize pool, with an award of $10,000 for the first-place winner.

“We are so excited to partner with PrizePicks, an organization with an exceptional track record in fantasy sports,” says Rob Johnson, CSL Esports CEO. “The PrizePicks AWPTOBER Classic is a clear example of PrizePicks’ exceptional commitment to supporting collegiate esports athletes.”

“Collegiate esports is among the industry’s fastest-growing segments and this partnership will continue to foster that interest through the intersection of the esports and DFS audiences,” says Adam Wexler, PrizePicks CEO.

CSL Esports and PrizePicks have partnered with the*gameHERs as part of their commitment to target a wider audience of women gamers. As part of this partnership, they will sponsor the Esports Top Team of the Year award in the*gameHERs Awards 2021

Per the*gameHERs Awards sponsorship protocol, CSL Esports and PrizePicks have signed an agreement committing to the*gameHERs Code of Conduct, a comprehensive set of rules that support the*gameHERs’ mission of providing a safe place for all participants to connect and game. By way of this code of conduct, CSL Esports and PrizePicks have pledged that all participants of their competition -- players, coaches, and spectators -- will act according to the rules and that organizers will make expectations of behavior clear.

The PrizePicks AWPTOBER Classic tournament is the first official tournament to sign the*gameHERs esports-oriented Code of Conduct, but will hardly be the last as the*gameHERs begins to launch collegiate esports initiatives this October.

“We are thrilled to see CSL Esports and PrizePicks’ commitment to making collegiate esports more inclusive,” says Rebecca Dixon, the*gameHERs CEO and Co-Founder. “We hope more women will sign up to compete, knowing that it is a safe and positive environment.”
